Lap Band Procedures

Before to access to the surgical placement of the LAP-BAND Adjustable Gastric Banding System, some pre-operatory test must be performed to establish the exact condition of operability of the patient.

The operation requires two up to three days in the hospital after the surgery, to adjust the lap-band and to receive the adequate assistance in the first ingestions of food. The first two or three days after the operation are the most critical for the patient, due to the initial difficulty to ingest food.The duration of the surgery is of about 75 minutes and the total permanence in the hospital is of two or three days.In general, patient can go back to his / her normal activities a week after the operation.
